Jump Insecticide
Jump Insecticide is a low-dose broad-spectrum insecticide used to control chewing and sucking pests in important crops. Jump insecticide works mainly through contact and ingestion action as it affects the pest’s nerve system, causing poor movement, feeding stoppage, and effective pest control. Jump insecticide is useful for pests such as stem borer, leaf folder, thrips, and diamondback moth in paddy, grapes, onion, cabbage, chilli, and cotton. Bayer Jump insecticide gives good suspension in water, easy measuring, and uniform spray coverage due to its WG formulation.
Key Features and Benefits:
Low-Dose Formula: Bayer Jump Insecticide works at a low gram dose, making it easy for farmers to measure, mix, and spray.
Strong Pest Control: Jump insecticide helps control key pests such as stem borer, leaf folder, thrips, and diamondback moth.
Dual Entry: Bayer Jump insecticide controls pests when they touch the treated surface or feed on treated plant parts.
Good Water Suspension: Jump insecticide mixes well in water and gives better spray distribution when stirred properly.
Useful in IPM Programs: Jump insecticide can be included in pest management programs when used with proper rotation and field monitoring.
Better Crop Health: Bayer Jump insecticide reduces pest feeding damage, helping plants stay healthier during important growth stages.
Uses:
Rice Borers and Folders: Stem borer and leaf folder in paddy.
Thrips: Thrips in grapes, onion, chilli, and cotton.
Cabbage Caterpillar Pest: Diamondback moth in cabbage.
Mixed Pest Pressure: Chewing and sucking pests where Fipronil 80% WG is recommended.
Dose:
Use it as a foliar spray with clean water and even coverage. Jump insecticide dose per litre is generally around 0.08 to 0.14 gm per litre of water, depending on crop and water volume. For field use, the Jump insecticide dose should be followed crop-wise because the required quantity changes by crop, pest, and spray volume.
Crop | Target Pest | Dose per acre | Application Method | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Paddy / Rice | Stem borer, leaf folder | 20 to 25 gm | Foliar spray in 150 to 200 L water | 19 days |
Grapes | Thrips | 20 to 25 gm | Foliar spray in 300 to 400 L water | 10 days |
Onion | Thrips | 30 gm | Foliar spray in about 200 L water | 15 days |
Cabbage | Diamondback moth | 37.5 gm | Foliar spray in about 200 L water | 15 days |
Chilli | Thrips | 20 to 25 gm | Foliar spray in about 200 L water | 5 days |
Cotton | Thrips | 30 gm | Foliar spray in 150 to 200 L water | 14 days |
How to Use Bayer Jump:
Measure the required quantity of Bayer Jump as per the crop and pest.
Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water.
Add the measured quantity into a small amount of water first.
Mix it well until the granules disperse properly.
Pour the prepared solution into the spray tank.
Add the remaining water and keep the solution well stirred.
Spray uniformly on the crop canopy.
Cover both upper and lower leaf surfaces where pests are active.
Do not spray during strong wind, heavy rain, or hot afternoon weather.
Use the prepared spray solution on the same day.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply it when the pest population is first noticed or when early crop damage starts appearing. Morning or evening spraying gives better results because spray loss is lower and the crop is less stressed. it should be sprayed before the pest population becomes heavy, especially in crops like paddy, onion, chilli, and cabbage.
